All lines are taken from Carolyne Larrington's 1996 translation of the Poetic Edda, with some minor alterations.

The cast is made up of Scandinavian actors where possible, especially diaspora, multiethnic, and nonwhite Scandinavians. 

Actors wear their own clothes when playing human characters. They speak in their natural accents throughout.

The set design draws heavily on Ikea showrooms and prominently features Ikea products.

The play is punctuated with long silences. Several emotional beats can and should play out when characters are alone with their thoughts.

The pre-show playlist’s musical center of gravity is “Hurrikan,” by Electric Callboy. Sonically, it incorporates Eurovision-style Eurodance, northern European heavy metal, and schlager music. Lyrically, it emphasizes love, ambition, and admiration for powerful women.
